Heat Treatment
Induction heat treatment by scanning, single shot, lift and rotate, rotary table and longitudinal transfer, hardening only the zone required.

How does induction heat treatment work?
In induction heat treatment, heat is generated directly inside the part by the magnetic field of a high-frequency current flowing through a copper inductor. Because only the required zone is heated, and very quickly, the rest of the part is not affected, distortion is reduced and the process can be repeated under control.
Application methods
- Scanning: the inductor or the part moves along the axis; for long shafts and bars.
- Single shot: the whole zone is heated and quenched at once; for short surfaces.
- Lift and rotate: the part turns inside the inductor and is heated evenly around its circumference.
- Pick and place, rotary table: parts processed one after another in series production.
- Longitudinal transfer: parts moved continuously along a line.

Capacity
We work with low, medium and high-frequency induction systems from 20 kW to 500 kW. The frequency is chosen according to the required case depth: high frequency gives a thin hardened layer, low frequency a deeper one.
Heat treatment of the whole part
When the whole part rather than a single zone needs treating, quenching and tempering, case hardening, nitriding, vacuum hardening, normalising, stress relieving and tempering are applied. The right process depends on the steel grade and where the part is used.
